I probably never noticed this before, but I probably might have. 
It's like a time capsule but they call it time castle! 
This was placed since July 17, 1995 which was Disneyland's 40th anniversary. The description written below, "A Time Castle containing Disneyland memories, messages, and milestones lies beneath this spot. The Disneyland Time Castle is dedicated to the children of the 21st century who may unlock its contents on the 80th anniversary of Disneyland: July 7, 2035"
